The Smile

Mother Teresa

Mother Teresa believed that a smile showed the joy of God. So after completing the serious model I decided to bend the rules and make a smiling Mother Teresa.

A smile showing the teeth is seldom done in sculpture but the smiling Mother Teresa always got a smile back no matter at what stage in the making. The original clay, the wax positive and finally the completed bronze always got a smile back from the viewer.

They sit one each side of the door to my Gallery.

Size: Slightly larger than life size.
Materials: Bronze, using the lost-wax method.
